Last year we moved from the Johnson County MO. fair grounds to the YES building, a larger building located in Warrensburg. We have been going through some growing pains but we are expanding and excited about this year. Tables are selling well for the last 5 years we have sold out. We addressed all the issues we had last year and feel we will have a great show this year.
Tables are a deal at $15.00 each. We have the building open the night before from 1900 to 2100 for early set up. At 2100 we lock the doors and the second set up time is at 0630 the morning of the event and doors open to the public at 0800. If you need a table contact me directly firstname.lastname@example.org cell 660-864-1911
We have a great (Improved) breakfast for a nominal fee that is provided by the (Youth Excited about Sports) Organization. All funds they make go to support their activities.
There will be a testing session for all classes, Walk-ins are welcome but a little heads up you are coming would be nice. The Hams in Space guys will be there to put on a demo and provide a forum, I have participated in the past, these guys know what they are doing and are a lot of fun and full of good info.
We are well attended seeing 400 to 600 hams a year. We put on several Tech classes each year and have several new hams in the area looking for new and used equipment.
I hope to see you there. If you have any particular questions or concerns I will be happy to answer them directly.
July 20 — mark your calendar — BE THERE!
Keith Raihala N0VJ,
The July ARES meeting will be held at 9am on July 13th (2nd Saturday). This month’s meeting will be at the Benton County Health Department, 1238 Commercial Street in Warsaw.
Hope to see everyone there! You don’t need to be a participant in ARES to attend.
We could not have asked for a nicer day for our annual ARES picnic at KDØCNC’s place today. Sunny skies, cool temperatures and great company! It was good flying weather for the RC gliders, too.
The food was plentiful and tasty, and I ate more than my share! Almost everyone ended up with some kind of giveaway, and the two rigs were raffled off to well-deserving new hams.
Rick KDØCNC and Sally KDØCND deserve lots of thanks for all the work they did to make the picnic a success. Thanks also to the following contributors:
Newman’s Country Mart
Orschelin Farm and Home
Lucas Oil Speedway
and everyone who showed up and had a great time!
Benton County ARES will be holding our annual picnic on June 8th. Location is KDØCNC’s QTH:
18877 Baptist Ridge Road
Warsaw, MO 65355
Talk-in on the 146.925 repeater.

Rick KDØCNC has obtained lots of door prizes and give-aways, and we’ll be selling raffle tickets for a Yaesu FT-1900 mobile rig and a Wouxun HT. Everyone usually ends up with some kind of goodie!
The food, fun and fellowship are always a blast. It’s a great chance to meet the people we hear on the radio.
Rick has promised great weather, as usual. He will be grilling burgers and hotdogs. Bring a side dish or salad if you can. A chair would be a good idea, too.
Our new website is up and running! We’ll be adding more content in the next few days.
We were unable to transfer anything from the old site, so if you had created a logon, you will need to sign up again.
Thanks for tuning in, and stop by often. Please leave comments!
