Heritage Days draws closer!

Hello, everyone!

KEØLMY here.

I look forward to seeing many of you on Saturday! We will be there very early, between 6 am and 7 am to get a lesson in properly setting up the trailer from Rick (KDØCNC) if you want to come up for that. If not, we will be there all day and would be very excited to have lots of hams to lend a hand!

We intend to talk to the public and work on spreading the word about ARES and amateur radio in general. Our goal is to bring in people of all ages to encourage people of all ages to join our hobby! We plan to make many third party contacts, so even if you can’t attend in person, we would love to have plenty of members monitoring the 146.925 repeater! We currently have five people lined up to tend to the trailer, five volunteering to monitor and KEØLMZ will be on site with her HT.

There is no entry fee for Heritage Days and KEØLMY is bringing a variety of vegetables, snacks and such for our members to snack on throughout the day. For parking, if you are just visiting, you would need to find any available parking spot in the city (there is no parking down in Drake Harbor). If you are working in the comm trailer, we will have reserved parking behind Reser Funeral Home. You MUST see KEØLMY (Samantha Henley) for a parking pass to park there! We will receive those parking passes on Saturday morning.

This message will also be on our Facebook page and will go out in an email to reach as many members as possible.
